4 reds 4 blues 1 ball

Today at Enrich everyone except the teachers played 4 reds 4 blues 1 ball. In the game you have to not let any of the bean bags or the ball touch the ground, you also have to throw the bean bag or ball, but your not allowed to pass it. You can't pass it to the person exactly beside you.  I thought the game was cool, but it was pretty challenging!

Lego animation

Today I did a lego animation during passion time! It was a lesson about why you shouldn't hurt the environment.  I also did must dos and picks. The must dos and picks that we had to do are:  Affective - Adora Svitak, Where in the world? debating, spinning matchstick experiment, charcoal landscapes, landscape design and before school picks. Today so far I have done the spinning matchstick experiment.  I learnt that it was static electricity that made the matchstick turn around.  I have also completed the Where in the World? task. During chess time I played Natasha and  I won by putting her in check mate.

Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to term four I hope you guys are excited for me to be back. Today at Enrich I played a leader board chess game and won easily. Then I did a Wilson game which is like bullseye but you have to get the beanbag in a bucket instead and if you didn't catch the beanbag you had to put the basket back to the start. Alana's team came first in getting the beanbag into the last bucket but my team would have won based on points. We learnt what sustainability means - it means keeping something going. We also done a MacGyver challenge where we had to figure out a way to get a hammer and a chisel that was 2.5 metres away from you so you could get you out of cement before the bomb exploede! No-one made it so we all blew up, (not really!)

Scared!!!!!

Today we visited the city council chamber and told them our idea for our environment project and we got to sit at a table in front of Darren and Bill the city council people. Since Tim Shadbolt wasn't there Darren took over for him. After that they let us have morning tea there and what we had was muffins and juice. We were the first group to go up and present our keynote at first I felt a bit scared but then I felt a little bit better.

City Council Preparing

Today the Wednesday our group from Enrich is preparing to go to the city council chambers to present our keynotes for Wachner Place and our group  is all done and ready to go.  This was the last week to get ready for it and next week we're going to be presenting our presentation.  Alana said we might be scared about talking to adults that we don't know, but don't worry if they ask us questions, because they are interested in our ideas.  Every group wants the city council people to say that they can put their idea in Wachner Place.

Pollution

Today Enrich's Wednesday group watched a video about how we pollute the air and it showed us the ten   most polluted cities in the world. Luckily for us Invercargill isn't one of those cities.  The worst city is Azkah, Iran. In it the city it is completely yellow and you can't see a thing so I think you would be happy that you don't live there. The people there don't realize because they are used to it now and the kids that are born there grow up used to it as well so everyone there is basically used to it.  They might be used to it but that doesn't mean we just could sit around and do nothing about does it?  No, it doesn't, so I suggest you stop playing around and make the future better. This pollution is what we're doing, not them, all of us.

Environment project

Today we did even more of our environment projects and we figured out where we were going put  our ball tilting maze and answered some questions that we thought the City Council would ask.  We're going to hang our ball maze up on a blank bit of wall in Wachner Place. But... before we do it we have to convince the council to go with our plan!
